Child hit by car in Bligh Way, Strood

A child has been taken to hospital after they were struck by a vehicle.
Emergency services were called to Bligh Way in Strood at around 8.40am today.
Officers and ambulance crews attended and the child was taken to hospital. It happened near Bligh Primary School.
There are not believed to be any life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car stopped following the collision.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with incident.
Spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) Rich Airey said: "A number of patients were assessed and treated for minor injuries at the scene.
"A child was assessed and treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."
