A county lines drug dealer found with heroin and crack cocaine after a police stop has been jailed for 18 months.
James Rudd was in the passenger seat of a car in Luton Road when it was pulled over by officers on patrol in Chatham in April.
A search uncovered 24 drug wraps hidden inside a bag he was wearing, 14 white in colour and 10 brown.
The 24-year-old was arrested and taken to Medway police station where a further search was carried out and three more wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were discovered.
Police also arrested the driver, a woman in her 20s, on suspicion of drug offences and she was released pending further investigation.
Rudd was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine the next day.
A later search of his home in Tupman Close, Rochester, found scales, a razor cutter and cling film laid out on the sofa.
"We will continue to target those engaging in this lifestyle to remove them from the streets..."
He admitted the charges against him, and at Maidstone Crown Court on August 27 he was jailed for one year and six months.
In addition to the prison term, the judge also ordered a forfeiture and destruction notice of the seized drugs.
Investigating officer PC Benjamin Shove said: "Our investigation into James Rudd revealed he was in the area to sell drugs on behalf of a county line drug network and we work hard to break up and disrupt networks such as these.
"Drug suppliers prey on vulnerable people in order to make cash and we will continue to target those engaging in this lifestyle to remove them from the streets of Medway."
