Crash on the A289 Yokosuka Way, in Gillingham, causes car to end up on grass bank

A two car collision on a busy roundabout in the Towns caused one of the vehicles to end up on a grass verge.
The crash happened on the A289 near Danes Hill and Yokosuka Way in Gillingham, shortly before 3pm.
It is thought one car may have pulled out on another travelling around the roundabout.
One vehicle, a Ford Kuga crashed into a barrier which ended up embedded in the vehicle which then ended up on perched on the grass verge.
The man driving the Ford Kuga was uninjured, but a elderly woman in the other vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Medway Maritime Hospital.
It is not thought she suffered any serious injuries.
Police, ambulance crews and firefighters were called out to the scene near Lower Rainham Road, and police managed the traffic coming from the Gillingham direction around the cash site.
Firefighters from Chatham fire station were called out at 2.47pm and made the scene safe.
The smash which is causing slight delays for motorists heading in the Medway Tunnel direction.
