A2 closed near Rainham after motorbike and car crash

A major road was blocked in both ways after a crash.
Police officers shut the A2 London Road in both directions after the incident which involved a car and a motorbike in Oak Lane, Rainham.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision in Oak Lane, Rainham at around 3.20pm today.
"Officers along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene near to the junction for the A2, which involved a car and motorbike.
"The road was closed to assist paramedics but has since reopened."
Traffic in the area is starting to ease.
