Crash on Chatham roundabout as police pursue vehicle

A car has crashed on a Chatham roundabout after a police pursuit.

A Citroen Picasso collided with a roundabout on Maidstone Road at around 8.30am this morning.

Officers were in the area after receiving a report of a stolen vehicle, and the vehicle made off before hitting the roundabout.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

All men were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, although only one sustained injuries, which are not thought to be serious.

Two lanes of Maidstone Road heading towards Chatham are currently closed, between City Way and the roundabout by the industrial estate.
