Car abandoned for week on A289 junction with M2 London-bound near Wainscott, Rochester

A car has been abandoned on its side for the past week on a busy motorway junction.
The vehicle is off the London-bound carriageway of the A289 at the junction with the M2 Junction 1 near Wainscott, Rochester.
It was first spotted last Thursday and has remained in situ since.
Today police were seen closing the stretch of road.
They were originally called around 7.30am on Saturday with officers attending the scene.
Police are continuing inquiries and arrangements are being made for the car to be recovered.
