Emergency services were called following reports of a burning car in Chatham this afternoon.
Kent Fire and Rescue say an A Class Mercedes was being scrapped in a yard halfway up Chatham Hill when a fire grew out of control, shortly after 2pm.
The blaze was extinguished and crews were on the scene for 20 minutes.
Police were also on the scene to help manage traffic on the road but say the fire was not suspicious.
