Crews tackle blaze in bird reserve trailer at Cliffe
10:15, 06 May 2013
A plume of black smoke near a bird reserve in Cliffe was caused by a fire in a box trailer.
Firefighters were called to Salt Lane at 5pm yesterday and it took two pumps more than three hours to put out the blaze.
The smog from the 40ft articulated box was blown away from the RSPB reserve thanks to the wind direction.
No injuries have been reported.
