Fire starts at house in Carton Close, Rochester

Firefighters spent more than an hour tackling a kitchen blaze this afternoon.
The fire started on the ground floor of a house in Carton Close, Rochester, at 3.40pm.
Two fire engines were sent to the home and crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the kitchen, towards the rear of the house.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to tackle the blaze.
Crews left the scene at 4.55pm.
The exact cause is not yet known.
