A drug dealer from the Towns has been locked up for more than two years for supplying heroin and crack cocaine from her home in Chatham.
Valerie Green, 46, pictured, was sentenced to two years and four months at Maidstone Crown Court, just days before Christmas.
Green, of Magpie Hall Road, pleaded guilty to one charge each of possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
The sentence follows her arrest in August after officers executed a search warrant as part of Operation Jupiter at her flat.
Green, appeared to have been in the process of packaging the substances for street deals and more than 40 grams of Class A drugs were recovered from her home, which was later sealed up by police after they secured a closure order on the property.
Police also seized more than £1,000 in cash, which had been stored in a case beside a sofa.
She was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
Two men also in the home at the time of the search and were arrested at the time, were later released without charge.
DC Phil Pead said: “Green had little choice but to plead guilty to the charges because she was caught red handed preparing significant quantities of drugs for sale.
“I hope her sentence sends out a strong message that we will continue to target those we believe are dealing and supplying drugs within Kent and will investigate thoroughly to ensure people guilty of these crimes are bought to justice.’
“This investigation is linked to Operation Jupiter, a local strategy designed to tackle emerging criminal gangs, whose members often travel into the county from other areas.
“The strategy includes taking robust action to deter criminals in areas including Medway, Swale, Gravesham and Dartford, often in connection with the sale and distribution of drugs.”
