A car has ended up on its side after a four-vehicle crash on the M2 between Strood and Chatham junctions this afternoon.
The emergency services were called out to the coastbound carriageway shortly before 3.30pm, after the smash between three cars and a lorry.
No one is thought to have suffered serious injury during the crash and other motorists are facing tailbacks as the smash has partially blocked one lane.
A spokesman for police added: “Kent Police was called at 3.25pm to reports of a collision involving three cars and a lorry on the M2 between junctions 2 and 3.
“South East Coast Ambulance Service and officers are at the scene. No serious injuries have been reported.
"The vehicles are to be recovered but one lane is partially blocked."
As of 5.07pm the carriageway is said to be fully open but traffic is still moving slowly.
