Drivers are facing delays after a multi-vehicle crash on a busy main road left one woman with a leg injury.

Emergency services attended the scene of the incident on the A229 Chatham-bound around Blue Bell Hill.

Ambulance crews as well as the police were reportedly in attendance.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 4.52pm on Wednesday 14 December to a collision involving two cars in the Chatham-bound carriageway of the A229 near Blue Bell Hill.

“Officers, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene where a woman was treated for a leg injury.

“She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention. Arrangements were made to recover the vehicles and all lanes were open by around 6.30pm.”
