Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams performing at Buckmore Park on New Year's Eve

A Grammy Award winning star will be coming to Chatham to see the New Year in.
Michelle Williams, who joined Destiny’s Child alongside Beyonce and Kelly Rowland in 2000, will be leading the celebrations at Buckmore Park.
In the midst of rumours of a reunion with her fellow divas, Michelle will be performing to hundreds of people at the site which is now owned by Kingsway International Christian Centre.
The former leisure centre, which is now Prayer City and the church's headquaters, will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
Michelle will be joined by Daniel Winans for the gospel event which starts at 8pm on December 31.
The Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, Matthew Ashimolowo, said: “Christmas and New Year are wonderful times at KICC.
“On New Year’s Eve we are going to enjoy great gospel music and really focus on looking at how we can make 2018 a better year.
“Whilst we take great joy in celebrating with family and friends, it also vital that we remember those most in need around us; the people who, for one reason or another, are not joining in the festivities and may feel forgotten and lonely. These are the people we really need to show love and a warm welcome to."
The event is free and a shuttle service will run from London, Essex, Maidstone and various places across Medway.
