Five arrests as police divers search water at Chatham Dockside in connection with major drugs investigation

Police divers have been scouring dockside waters in search of multiple kilos of Class A drugs.
Officers from the Metropolitan police's marine policing unit were seen scouring an area of Chatham Dockside earlier today.

It follows a warrants executed yesterday in south east London and Kent.
Puzzled residents peered out from their windows as the operations took place in the busy docks.
A spokesman for the Met has since confirmed the activity forms part of an investigation into the importation and distribution of multi-kilo Class A drugs.
The force say five people have been arrested and one has since been charged.
