Dr Ranj's Strictly journey could be cut short after he messed up the Monster Mash.

The Medway born TV doctor performed the jive in a massive furry costume for Halloween week last night but his routine did not impress the judges.

He and his partner Janette Manrara scored 20 points for his dance to Monster Mash, by Bobby Pickett.

The score put them at the bottom of the leader board in a tie with comedian Seann Walsh and newsreader Kate Silverton.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood said: “I think the kids at home would love that number, I didn’t however.

“I think the costume was covering a multitude of sins. I thought it was very heavy and very stompy.

“There was some timing issues and you lost it on the drunken sailors and tried to pick it up again.

"Not your best."

Dr Ranj will have to hope everyone watching at home liked his performance as the couples who go through to the next week is decided half by the judges and half as voted for by the public.

He did get a lot of positivity for his #spookysigning'.

When he was introduced at the beginning of the show, instead of waving Dr Ranj and Janette signed 'Happy Halloween' for deaf viewers.

Dr Ranj will find out his fate in tonight's result show on BBC1 at 6.50pm.
