Driver Ehis Inegbedion, 20, of Third Avenue, Chatham, recalled to prison

A man has been charged with weapon, drug and driving offences following a crash in the Towns.
Ehis Inegbedion, 20, was arrested on Monday, June 26, after officers from the Medway community policing team, who were on patrol in Watling Street, Chatham, became suspicious of a vehicle turning right onto Ash Tree Lane at around 11.20am.
The same vehicle was seen travelling in Beacon Road, towards Ash Tree Lane, approximately five minutes later, so officers then requested the vehicle to stop, but it is alleged the driver failed to do so.
After driving between 100 and 200 metres, the vehicle collided with a parked car and a van travelling in the opposite direction.
Inegbedion, of Third Avenue in Chatham, was arrested at the scene, and a quantity of suspected cannabis was allegedly found in the vehicle.
A lock knife, which was allegedly thrown into a nearby garden, was also found by officers.
Inegbedion was later charged with being in possession of a knife, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and without insurance.
He appeared before magistrates in Medway on the next day and was remanded in custody.
At this hearing he was recalled to prison, where he will remain until 25 January 2018, as he was on licence for a previous offence.
He will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, July 25, in relation to the five new charges.
