Driver remains in a serious condition after crash in Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead

A driver remains in a serious condition after being cut free from his car following a crash.
The motorist continues to be treated at a specialist London hospital following the collision which happened on Saturday morning in Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Firefighters were called shortly after 4.30am and had to remove the roof to release the driver after the vehicle careered into a fence.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two fire engines attended, and crews removed the roof of the vehicle to free one person, who was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
Crews were at the scene until shortly after 5.30 am.
Police also confirmed their attendance and a section of the road remained cordoned off the following morning while traffic was being diverted.
