Chatham drug dealer Visean Wiggan jailed

A drug dealer who was found with an axe and wraps of Class A drugs has been jailed for three years.
Visean Wiggan, 19, of Perry Street, Chatham, was stopped and searched by officers in Ordanance Street, near his home, in June this year.
He was carrying wraps of crack cocaine and heroin alongside two mobile phones and nearly £200 in cash. He also handed over an axe with a wooden handle.
In total, officers seized 48 wraps of crack cocaine and 28 wraps of heroin.
Wiggan appeared at Maidstone Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing an offensive weapon.
He was sentenced on Friday.
Investigating officer PC Peter Synczysz said: ‘Wiggan was found with a dangerous and life-threatening amount of Class A drugs.
‘This poison is a terrible blight on the community and its sale would have been inevitably targeted at some of our most vulnerable residents.
“Jailing Wiggan has removed a dangerous individual from society and undermined the sale of drugs in Chatham.
"I would encourage anyone who deals in the same crimes as Wiggan to take note of this sentence and end their behaviour."
