A fundraising gig is being held in aid of a primary school ravaged by fire.
Karina Malone, from Hoo, will be singing to raise money for her former school St James’ Primary Academy in Grain, which was destroyed by a blaze in October.
Pupils are being taught at Allhallows Primary Academy as plans are drawn up for the new building. Bosses hope the school will be reopened in September.

Karina will be performing with her singing partner Gemma Andrew. It will be the first concert the pair have done as duo 2che. They have previously worked together as dancers and backing singers in a Kylie Minogue tribute band and spent several years touring the world entertaining on cruise ships.
Karina, 34, said: “We wanted a special gig to mark the launch of 2che. This event is an ideal choice because I’m a former pupil and my two nephews attend the school.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to help the school and the community.”
Since leaving the ships, Karina has been working as an events assistant and Gemma, 30, from Newington near Sittingbourne, has been working as a dance teacher.
Karina said: “Working on the cruise ships was the best of jobs and I hated saying goodbye to it but it was time to move on.”
Their sets are an upbeat mix of old and new songs including Motown, Abba, Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse and Olly Murs.
They formed 2che six months ago and have recorded several songs that can be heard on their Facebook page. They have pub dates lined up and will be performing five golden oldie gigs at Allhallows Golf Club on various dates through the summer starting on Saturday.
The concert for the school tonight, which is taking place at Grain Village Hall, starts at 7.30pm. It has been organised by the parents’ association,
Tickets are £5 and are available from Sarah Malone on 07896 713966. The audience are asked to take their own drinks and nibbles.
