Pensioner taken to hospital after falling ill in the Co-op store in Canterbury Street, Gillingham

An elderly woman is thought to have suffered a heart attack while out shopping in Gillingham yesterday evening.
The pensioner, who has not been named, was in the Co-op store in Canterbury Street, at about 7.30pm when she fell ill.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and officers from Kent Police were called to the scene and it is understood paramedics worked on the woman until her heart started beating again.
The pensioner was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.
Police left the scene shorty before 9.30pm.
