A faulty electric cable was the cause of a small fire at a home in Wainscott earlier this morning.
Firefighters from Strood were called out to a house in Frittenden Road, at about 8.30am after a small fire, caused by a faulty electrical cable on a tumble dryer, broke out.
It is understood a utility room at the property filled up with smoke and the crew spent about 20 minutes at the scene making it safe.
The homeowner was able to call for help after discovering the smoke and no one was injured during the incident.
