Part of a high street was taped off after emergency services descended on a town centre.
Paramedics and fire crews were in Rochester High Street yesterday afternoon to reports a woman had fallen and injured her leg.
It is thought to have happened outside restaurant Don Vincenzo.
Eyewitnesses said the woman was put in an ambulance.
Spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), Rich Airey, said: "I can confirm we were called at approximately 11.30am yesterday (Sunday 20 December) to reports a woman had suffered a fall and injured her leg in Rochester High Street.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the woman was assessed and treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."
