Children in reception at Horsted Primary School got a taste of the great outdoors before the snow hit.
The four and five year olds welcomed James and Andrea from Go Outdoors in Chatham who helped them pitch tents in the school grounds.
As part of ‘Forest Day’, the children played team building games, enjoyed woodland art and listened to stories inside the tent.
At the end of the day they toasted marshmallows in a special fire pit.
Kirsty Christopher, reception leader, said: “It was a wonderful experience for all of them.
“The children at Horsted are so lucky to have these outdoor learning opportunities that enable them to transfer their skills into all areas of the curriculum.
“This is one of a number of exciting sessions in store for the children over the next couple of weeks.”
