A vet has warned dog owners to be vigilant after two pets were poisoned.
The Manor Veterinary Centre in Chatham posted the advice on Facebook after a dog who ingested a mystery substance at Broomhill Park in Strood was brought in yesterday evening.
The post also suggested a second dog had been poisoned within a similar time-frame.
The post, which can be read here, said: "We have had a young dog brought into the practice today as an emergency that has been poisoned.
"He had ingested something whilst off lead at Broomhill park in Strood and is very sick.
"We have also been informed that another dog had also been poisoned at the park in the last 24 hours.
"Please if you must walk your dog there do not let them off the lead and be extra vigilant, but it would be best to avoid the park entirely.
"Thank you and sending our best to his owners. Paws crossed for him everyone."
