MP Tracey Crouch had her instagram copied and the fake account began hacking into other users.
The representative for Chatham and Aylesford warned Instagrammers not to follow the new account.
She tweeted and shared on her official Instagram on Monday, July, 24: "If you're on Instagram please don't accept invites/messages from this account.
"It is fake and hacking into others.
"It has been reported to @instagram."
MP for Chatham and Aylesford Tracey Crouch said: "We're seeing a worrying rise in the number of people purporting to be MPs on social media and confusing the electorate."
"I found out the account was hacking people when I saw it was messaging my followers saying hi, through my real account.
To spot the fake account make sure to follow the user traceycrouchmp not the fake traceycrouch_mp.
It has five posts, all of which have been uploaded on Tracey Crouch's real account.
The account is so convincing MP for North West Hampshire Kit Malthouse and MP Mid Derbyshire Pauline Latham have already followed the fake account.
It was reported to Instagram and has since been taken down by the social media platform.
