A Gillingham family had to flee their home after a dishwasher burst into flames earlier this morning.
Firefighters from Medway were called out to the property in Sunnymead Avenue, at about 8.35am to put out the flames and found three young children and an adult outside the home.
The crew used breathing apparatus to enter the home and put out the flames and then they used a powerful fan to rid the property of smoke.
No one was injured during the incident and firefighters were able to leave the property by 9.15am.
