The owner of a fashion brand wants to use his platform to speak out and raise awareness about men's mental health.

Stephen Skeete has built up his clothing business from his bedroom in Settington Avenue, Chatham and now he wants to share his success.

Throughout November Mr Skeete will be donating 20% of the profits of his brand Tress Clothing to men's mental health charity CALM, which works to prevent male suicide.

He also wants men to share their positive stories using the hashtag #BeIconic.

The 24-year-old knew he wanted to become a businessman at the age of 14 when he was a pupil at The Howard School, Derwent Way, Rainham.

He said: "I realised I spent a lot of money on clothes so I thought why not make my own and it has just spiralled from there.

"I've been doing the most, this weekend I was at so many events across London doing pop ups and talking about the campaign."

His 10 piece collection and mental health campaign has lead him to be featured on radio station Reprezent FM, he has given fashion advice to the BBC and was interviewed by pause fashion magazine.

Tress clothing's mantra is "trust, truth, positivity" but Mr Skeete admits it hasn't always been plain sailing.

He said: "There were times in the beginning where I would struggle, so as soon as I was approached about helping speak out about men's mental health I jumped on it.

"I think men need to remember to invest in themselves, because you are important.

"Also get off Instagram, people post so much but that's not their real life, you need to realise it's not all rosey.

"Now I try my best to help bring all the people around me success, I invite all my friends to networking events and try to get them into my company.

"I've also got a 21 month old daughter so I'm doing this for her too."
