Electrical fault sets tumble dryer on fire in Chatham

Firefighters believe an electrical fault caused a tumble dryer to catch alight today.
Crews were called out to Swallow Rise in Chatham just after 11.30am, where they discovered residents outside their home.
The occupants had switched off the tumble dryer after discovering smoke.
Crews discovered a small fire inside the dryer and removed it from the property.
There were no injuries and the fire was out by 11.50am.
