It is time to say a final good-bye to a Toys R Us store as developers tear the sign down.
Earlier this week builders arrived at Horsted Retail Park, in Rochester, to prepare the old Toys R Us for two new businesses to open at the premises.
This morning the Toys R Us sign was removed, changing views for drivers on Maidstone Road who are used to being greeted by the company's familiar logo.
The children's toy store, which went into administration last year, has been left unoccupied for months.
After works are complete it will be split into a gym and Home Bargains.
Earlier this week, UFC Gyms uploaded a video to Facebook at the retail park with the caption, "Medway get ready, we are coming!".
Gym goers can expect something a little different as the American company focus on Mixed Martial Arts style training.
The branch is expected to have 24-hour access.
Home Bargains and UFC Gym will join a KFC drive-thru and an Aldi on the site.
It is hoped the project will create 88 full-time and part-time jobs, with the “majority” available to local residents.
