Firefighters have spent the night tackling a straw bale fire
Crews have been dealing with around 200 tonnes of baled straw and animal fodder alight at Lodge Hill Farm, Chattenden.
Around 20 firefighters were called to the scene just before 7pm last night.
They used surrounding jets to cover the blaze as well as a super fine mist to suppress the flames.
The fire was brought under control in around two hours but crew remained at the scene overnight.
A spokesman from Strood station said: "Crews were at the scene on a watching brief until about 8am this morning. The fire was allowed to burn out under control."
