A compost heap is thought to have been the cause of a fence fire during the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called out to Montgomery Avenue, in Chatham, after a fire broke shortly after 2am.
It is thought the fire had ignited because a compost heap nearby combusted and slowly set the panels alight.
A crew from Rochester were called out to deal with the fire and said several of the fence panels were destroyed.
