House fire in Rainham Road, Chatham

Traffic was held on a busy main road while firefighters tackled a blaze at a house.
Crews were called to Rainham Road in Chatham around 2pm following reports of a basement fire at a property.
Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
Kent Police officers directed traffic while firefighters fought back the flames.
One person was treated at the scene for suspected smoke inhalation before being passed into the care of SECAmb.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
