Firefighters have rescued a pensioner who was trapped up his his chest in mud by the banks of a river.
The crews were called to the River Medway in Gillingham after reports that the man in his 70s was stuck.
They managed to pull him from the water, and left him in the care of the ambulance service, shortly after 3.30pm on Friday, December 8.
It follows a warning by the fire brigade about the dangers of the mud there just three days ago, when they carried out a training exercise near the M2.
