Flat fire at a six storey building in Victory Pier, Gillingham

Firefighters were called out to a fire in a six storey block of flats today.
Just before 10am two crews were called to Victory Pier in Gillingham.
On arrival the firefighters found a first floor flat as billowing smoke.
They used breathing apparatus and a dry powder fire extinguisher to tackle the blaze.
A ventilation fan was also used to clear the smoke from the property.
No injuries have been reported.
