A 30ft boat has erupted into flames and sunk at Strood Yacht Club.
Around 25 firefighters battled the blaze at Temple Manor Marsh in Knight Road, which broke out shortly after 8pm.
The vessel involved is a 30ft motor cruiser called Latitude, which was moored at a pontoon and had fuel and oil on board.
It was initially thought that two other boats were affected in the incident.
Crews moved other boats away from the scene and fought the fire using a main jet fed by a light portable pump.
A fire launch boat was also called in to help deal with the incident.
Crews were unable to save the motor cruiser and it sunk shortly after 10pm.
Firefighters made the scene safe with the help of Thames Coastguard.
Emergency crews left the scene at about 10.30pm.
Measures are being taken to contain possible pollution from the wreck.
