It’s halfway through the first term for hundreds of youngsters making their tentative first steps into the world of learning.
But it’s so much more than remembering the alphabet or simple sums. There are friends to make and playgrounds to explore.

Starting Friday our print edition will publish the first of the schools which agreed to take part. More will follow in the weeks ahead.
