Five people arrested on suspicion of theft of car from garage in Inner Lines, Gillingham

Five men are in custody after being arrested following the alleged late-night theft of a car.
The owner of the Honda Civic called police at 1.15am today having found their garage light on and the car missing from their property in Inner Lines, Gillingham.
At around 1.43am officers saw the vehicle which was reported stolen in Knight Road, Strood, and they pursued it into Strood High Street where it was stopped.
Five men - aged 40, 31, 29, 26 and 25 - were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
They remain in custody while inquiries continue.
