Firefighters were called to an industrial warehouse after reports of a fork lift truck on fire.
The crews received the call shortly before 4pm today to the warehouse at Moor Street in Rainham.
They used specialist breathing masks and a hose reel jet to battle the flames, and had put out the fire by 5pm.
They remained at the scene for another 30 minutes to damp down and prevent a fire starting again.
