Ex Hilltop Primary School, Frindsbury, PTA treasurer Kevin Carter appears at Maidstone Crown Court accused of £42k theft

A former treasurer of a Medway school’s parent teacher association has appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on a theft charge.
Kevin Carter, 50, is alleged to have stolen £42,611 from Hilltop Primary School’s PTA funds over two years between January 2011 and January 2013.
The school in Hilltop Road, Frindsbury, has more than 400 pupils aged four to 11.
Carter, of The Chimes, Hoo, will return to court on September 26 when he is expected to enter a plea.
