Hundreds of pupils took part in the Mini Youth Games table tennis competition.
More than 30 schools from across the Towns took part in the tournament sponsored by the Academy of Woodlands Gymnasium and supported by Chatham Table Tennis Club and volunteers from MidKent College.
The youngsters were battling it out not only to be crowned MYG winners, but also for the chance to take part in Medway’s Night of Champions competition.
Pupils from the Pilgrim School in Borstal were crowned champions, while the team from Warren Wood Primary Academy in Rochester took second place, ahead of Featherby Junior School in Gillingham who came third and St Andrew’s School in Rochester who placed fourth.
Wainscott Primary School in Wainscott received the fair play award.
The top eight teams qualified for the event, which will be held in the summer.
There are four more tournaments left to go in the MYG series: netball, kwik cricket, football and athletics.
