A garage believed to have been deliberately set alight has been destroyed in Chatham.
The building in Otway Street was wrecked in the blaze despite two pumps from Medway attending the scene.
The two pumps from blue watch were called at midnight last night and firefighters spent about 40 minutes dousing the flames.
There were no injuries or damage to surrounding properties at what firefighters called a 'deliberate' fire although household items in the garage were also destroyed.
There was no car in the building.
Police also arrived on scene to carry out investigations.
