Firefighters spent an hour fighting a blaze that spread from a garden to a garage.

The crews were called to Chalk Pitt Hill, Chatham, at 6.18pm last night.

They wore breathing apparatus and used a main jet and hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and were still damping down and turning over the area at 7.16pm.
