Video footage shows the wreckage after a BMW carrying Gills’ players crashed into a wall on a residential street.
A neighbour says the vehicle spun around and went over the brickwork in Woodlands Road, Gillingham, – hitting a parked car on the drive at around 10.50am.
The players believed to be involved include right-back Cheye Alexander, midfielders Jonny Williams, Timothee Dieng, George Lapslie and striker Macauley Bonne.
It is understood they were on their way to or from training.
A resident who did not want to be named was working from home when he heard a “loud screech of tyres and a loud bang”.
He said: “It looked like everyone was okay because there were no ambulances.
“The players got picked up by colleagues in other cars and then the driver [of the BMW] waited.
“Police were there waiting for recovery, but it looks like the car has been recovered now.
“It looks like it’s caused a lot of damage. The neighbours are shocked. The guy who lived there was opening his curtains as it happened so he saw it.
“This road has a school on it. It’s lucky it’s school holiday time or people could have been hurt.”
The owner of the house where the wall was destroyed did not wish to speak at length, only saying the driver “is a nice bloke, it was an accident”.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 10.51am to a collision involving three cars.
“Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported and arrangements were made to recover one of the vehicles.”
Gillingham FC’s head of media and communications, Phill Catterick, declined to comment – saying it was “not a club matter”.
