Working from home can have its pitfalls, as a Kent MP found when her internet connection dropped out in the middle of a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Tracey Crouch's BT broadband failed this afternoon while she was in a Microsoft Teams session that included Boris Johnson.
The Chatham and Aylesford representative took to Twitter to bemoan her luck, posting: "Massive BT broadband failure in Aylesford.
"Could take 5 hours to fix according to the answerphone.
"Good job I was only in a Teams with the PM when it crashed... sigh."
Shortly afterwards, the former Minister for Sport Tweeted more bad news: "BT now saying it could take up to 11 hours to fix."
The implementation of the lockdown on March 17 due to the coronavirus outbreak meant homes had to become offices overnight.
Millions of us have been working from converted workspaces and, ironically, today was National Work From Home Day.
The annual event, now the new norm for so many, is meant to promote modern "smarter" working practices.
