All eyes were on the bridegroom when Mark Day made a spectacular entrance at his wedding.
Instead of arriving by car, the 34-year-old hired a helicopter to get him to his wedding on time at the Commissioner’s House, in Chatham’s Historic Dockyard.
The trio set off from Rochester Airport at 12.15pm on Friday and were given a half-hour tour of Medway before landing at the historic dockyard at 12.45pm, where they were greeted by friends and relatives.
But by 2pm everyone’s focus was back on the bride as Leeandra Day, 32, walked down the aisle.
Mark, of King George Road, Walderslade, said: “Everyone arrives at their wedding by car and I just wanted to be a bit different."
