Hannah Wildes from Walderslade, Chatham is out of The Voice
20:45, 14 March 2015
She made it through the blind auditions and the battle rounds, but sadly Hannah Wildes lost out in the knockouts for The Voice this evening.
The 24-year-old from Walderslade was back on our screens tonight hoping her choice of song would keep her in the BBC competition.
But her “killer song”, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, was not enough to impress new mentor Rita Ora as the judges had to whittle their teams of eight down to just three.
Tonight saw Rita and will.i.am make some tough decisions on their final teams, with Kaiser Chiefs' singer, Ricky Wilson, and Sir Tom Jones choosing tomorrow night at 7.45pm.
Hannah was originally on Team Ricky but was "stolen" by rival judge Rita after Ricky chose teammate Autumn Sharif to go through during the battle rounds.
Hannah, who moved to Walderslade from London when she was 17, said: "It was a great experience and great exposure. I thoroughly enjoyed doing the show.
"I'm going to release an EP soon and a video, and get my own project up and running."
Hannah, who was signed to label Famestage in 2013, has already writing songs for her EP launch later this year. She is already working with three times Grammy winner, Mack Woodward.
A seasoned performer, Hannah has performed solo shows at The Hippodrome in London’s Leicester Square and regularly gigs at The Bedford, Balham. Last month she teamed up with Jamie Johnson and Autumn Sharif for special gig at Pizza Express Music Lounge, Maidstone.
When she’s not singing or in the studio writing, Hannah works as a receptionist in a dermatology unit in Borough Green to fund her music career.
The final contestants will now sing in the live rounds starting on March 21.
