Tom Dallas has been sparring "more than ever" ahead of his match-up with Amercian Zack Page at Medway Park on Friday.

Dallas (pictured) completed a gruelling workout at the end of the week by trading blows in the gym with former kickboxing champion and professional boxing debutant Dillian Whyte.

Whyte, who recently excelled in the amateur ranks, steps out on the professional stage for the first time when he takes part in the Sky Sports-televised boxing show in Gillingham.

He gave unbeaten Dallas the workout he needed as the Chatham heavyweight attempts to make it 15 straight wins.

"We’ve had some good sparring and probably done more in preparation for this fight than ever before," said Dallas’ manager Mark Roe.

"We’ve been in against David Price and also Dillian Whyte. Dillian is tough and a good prospect. He can take shots and give shots and it’s been great sparring for Tom.

"They’ve been working well together and I’ve got nothing bad to say about him. He’s a big boy and carries a lot of power."

Friday’s opponent Page has good pedigree and the 37-year-old will represent a significant step up in class for Dallas.

The Ohio-based fighter has been stopped just three times and last year shocked Mike Tyson conqueror Kevin McBride by outpointing the Irishman over eight rounds.
