A lonely dachshund found wandering the rail tracks on Christmas Eve has not been reunited with its owner - but has been found a new home.
Southeastern had issued an appeal to track down the dog's handler after it was found aimlessly roaming around Rainham.
It had been hoped it could be returned home in time for Christmas.
But the rail operator today reported no one came forward to claim the sausage dog, but that a new family had been found to take care of her.
The Southeastern tweet stated: "Sadly an owner never came forward, however I'm happy to report she is now in a loving new home."
