A high street was cordoned off after concerns were raised for a person’s welfare.
Police and fire crews were at the scene in Chatham, between Manor Road and Holborn Lane, at around 6.30pm last night.
The area was taped off and traffic was diverted.
One eyewitness said there were six police cars, a fire engine, and a joint response unit at the scene.
A spokesman for the force said: “Kent Police was called at 5pm on Monday, September 11 to concerns for a person at an address in Chatham High Street.
“Officers attended the scene and the person was taken to a local hospital where they were passed into the care of health professionals.”
