A high-speed police chase led to a hit-and-run car crash in Rochester this lunchtime.
The driver of a car travelling along the Maidstone Road was left shaken after the smash at about 1.55pm.
It happened as a vehicle pulling of The Tideway failed to stop for officers.
It is believed the male driver of the dark-coloured car fled into woodland.
The police helicopter was scrambled to help in the search.
The other vehicle involved, a light-blue convertible Vauxhall was badly damaged, in the collision.
Enquiries are ongoing.
